Investment Process

Presenting to Our Angel Investors
When U.S.-based Third Coast Angels, LLC (TCA) considers small business capital investment opportunities, all entrepreneur applicants go through the following process:

  1. Advisor Referral/Online Submission – Entrepreneurs may be referred by a business investor team member and directed to our Investment Request Company Overview or submit their information without prior recommendation.
  2. Pre-Screening – Once received, select investment team members will review initial investment overview requests to see if they meet our designated criteria or if more information is necessary for assessment. If TCA feels your request meets eligibility standards, you will be contacted and a presentation to our team of business investors will be coordinated. An executive summary and business plan may be requested at this point.
  3. Investor Presentation – If your investment request makes it to this stage, you will have 45 minutes to present in front of TCA’s angel investor network. These meetings are held on the second Thursday of every other month at a select location in Madison, Wisconsin. You will be contacted by TCA with scheduling details.
  4. Due Diligence – Following the Investor Presentation, our dinner investment club will meet privately to discuss the interest and viability of your investment request. If it is decided to move forward, TCA will complete a full due diligence review.
  5. Investment Decision – Once due diligence is concluded, TCA business investors will make their investment decision and contact you with the result. Each member of our dinner club will determine if he or she wishes to participate in your small business’s exciting program.
